Kunzite's Gold Guide Introduction


This gold guide contains extensive research that I began documenting all the way back in February of 2005. Back then, I figured out several WoW gold making strategies that were extremely lucrative and began to document them. By May of 2005, I was in full swing having written programs to analyze the WoW market to find the best gold making opportunities. Only 6 months after WoW's release, I had already amassed 10,000 gold, a staggering amount back then. I continued to play and refined these strategies writing up more and more on how to make WoW gold. This guide is everything that I used to climb up to over 150,000 gold in World of Warcraft as of this writing. There are strategies in this guide you will find no where else.

This guide is divided into four main sections. The first section, "General Strategies: What you need to know before you begin reading" contains information that everyone should know and use all the time in World of Warcraft. Once you have finished that section, it is on to the real meat of the guide, three sections which make up all of your gold earning: "Tradeskills", "The Auction House", and "Gold Hunting".

Everything in this guide has been verified by myself and was used to amass all of the gold I have today. I'm sure you'll learn quite a bit of information you never knew before! Enjoy the guide!

Guide Updates and Corrections

Most of today's updates are related to outdated content in the guide:

- In the Prospecting section of the guide, removed a section detailing how to get rid of excess green gems. Prior to patch 2.4, Outlands green gems were a tough sell. Patch 2.4 made them more valuable to players and how to 'get rid of them' is no longer an issue.
- Removed the Jewelcrafting recipes from the 'Crafting to Disenchant' section of the guide as they are no longer a 'best' craft to disenchant. The recipes remain in the Disenchanting Calculator (which properly shows you will lose money on disenchanting them with the default values set in the calculator).
- Added Engineering as a gathering trade skill (gas clouds) in the Trade Skill section.
- Noted the changes in patch 2.4 to Nether Vortex and Primal Nether in the 'Profitable Tradeskill Recipes' section.
- In the 'Questing for Gold' section, added a note about the new daily quest cap in patch 2.4.

There still are a few sections that could use a bit of a cleanup and updating. I'll get to that very soon. However, the good news is that new strategies and sections will be going in soon. Check out my blog for the newest strategies posted to this guide!

While I recommend you read all of the articles in this guide, I understand there is quite a bit of information here to read all in one sitting. For those of you who want to get right to what I consider the most powerful strategies in this guide, you may head straight to my Summary Section. This part of the guide contains an overall summary of what this guide contains along with my commentary on what I consider to be the most powerful strategies contained here.

Absolutely, positively nothing in this guide is against WoW's terms of service. I am very anti-cheat and anti-hack. Everything is this guide is completely legitimate. Everything I have earned in World of Warcraft I have earned honestly and I hope you will follow the same path.
